“For us, this proclamation is a word of freedom. Scripture tells us that everything that exists does not exist by chance, but is willed by God and part of His plan, at the center of which is the invitation to partake, in Christ, in the Divine life."

Catholic Scripture Studies:
The Great Adventure introduces Catholics to Scripture, equipping them with a basic biblical literacy. The authors of The Great Adventure recognize and employ diverse methods of biblical interpretation to help discover both the human and divine aspects of Sacred Scripture. For the beginner to best understand the intentions of the human authors, whom God inspired, special attention is given to the historical circumstances, culture, and modes of writing (see Dei Verbum 12). As such, The Great Adventure always seeks to use history and its related fields of study to shed light on the biblical text.
Catholic Scripture Study International provides all the tools you need to start and maintain a successful bible study. You do not need to be an experienced catechist to implement and lead a CSS class. Any lay person can establish this truly life-changing program in their parish or community. Additionally, the CSS Program is the only Scripture study program with a team of dedicated volunteer Regional Directors who provide support to each study leader throughout the program.
The CSS Program studies are designed for group or individual study. Our Program Studies range from 22-28 sessions in length and our Short Studies range from 4 to 16 sessions. CSS releases a new full-length feature study to add to the selection of course offerings each Fall and offers shorter scripture and faith based studies throughout the year.
